Chugging away…

We’re still working on getting thing back up and running. Thankfully when the hard drives crashed we were able to “save” the files that were being stored. Unfortunately these were Windows File History versions, so there were about 180K files just for Extrorb that I am working through, trying to delete all the old versions and get everything to work again. Most files had tons of dated duplicates, and there doesn’t seem to be an automated way to restore them because of how I recovered them from the drive.

Not to the point of starting over yet, but still a high possibility. It might actually be quicker than trying to fix everything 🙂

The new machine now sports 4 different 2 TB drives using Windows Storage Spaces and then another set of 1TB SSDs for my main boot drive and boot drive backup. Surely this should be enough to prevent this from happening again…
